Recently, Qin Lihong, co-founder and president of NIO, revealed at the 100kWh battery sharing meeting that at the NIO Day event held on January 9, 2021, NIO will release its first sedan, 150kWh battery pack, NT2.0 automatic driving platform and second-generation power swapping station.

Regarding whether NIO’s first sedan is the previously released NIO ET, the official has not yet given a clear answer. NIO ET was released at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2019. The new car is positioned as a luxury mid-size sedan. It is expected to be named ET7 after mass production. There is no relevant report on the specific performance parameters of this car.

As for the second-generation swapping power station, the official has previously revealed that its construction cost will be lower than the current model, and the number of batteries will be more or even doubled. It is understood that with the launch of the second-generation power station, NIO will speed up the layout of the power station to alleviate the current shortage of power replacement resources.
