The GWM ORA 7 has officially appeared in the latest Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) filing, revealing key details about the upcoming mid-size electric sedan. The model continues the brand’s distinctive design language, characterized by its signature “frog-eye” headlights and a sleek, rounded silhouette that draws subtle aesthetic comparisons to the Porsche Panamera.

In terms of dimensions, the ORA 7 measures 4,820 mm in length, 1,850 mm (or 1,870 mm depending on configuration) in width, and 1,520 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,870 mm. The vehicle features traditional pull-out door handles and a charging port located on the right front fender. Notably, the roof-mounted LiDAR sensor suggests that the vehicle will be equipped with advanced intelligent driving assistance systems.

The filing indicates a dual-motor powertrain setup, with maximum power outputs of 160 kW and 150 kW, respectively. The vehicle is powered by a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. Performance-wise, the ORA 7 reaches a top speed of 180 km/h, with a curb weight of 1,985 kg.

The ORA 7 offers extensive customization options, including various wheel sizes (225/50R18, 235/50R18, and 235/45R19), as well as aesthetic add-ons like a body-colored shark-fin antenna, black roof panels, and various trim accents. Badging on the rear confirms the ORA 7 nameplate, alongside “Great Wall Lightning Cat R7” branding, maintaining the series’ signature coupe-like stance. We will continue to monitor and report on further developments regarding this model.
