Chinese Mini EV: Lingbox BOX PRO is a new “box” EV


On June 18, we learned from relevant channels that Lingbox BOX Pro, a subsidiary of Lingbox Automobile, has been officially launched, and a total of 4 models have been launched, with a price range of 46,800-68,800 yuan. The new car can be regarded as an upgraded version of the Lingbox BOX, and the interior has been redesigned to look more fashionable and trendy; however, the appearance and configuration of the vehicle are basically unchanged. It is worth noting that the starting price of Lingbox BOX Pro has increased slightly. For comparison, the starting price of the 2022 Lingbox BOX is 41,800 yuan.

In terms of appearance, the front face of Lingbox BOX Pro adopts a simple design method. The traditional air intake grille area is hollowed out, while the front surround area adopts a three-stage layout, and the left and right sides are outlined by sharp lines. In addition, the new car is still equipped with round headlights, of which the high and low beams are halogen light sources, while the daytime running lights are LED light sources.

The side of the new car also basically continues the design of Lingbox BOX, the length, width and height are 3584/1475/1666mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2455mm. At the rear of the car, the taillights of Lingbox BOX Pro are also circular in shape, echoing with the headlights.

In terms of interior, the center console of Lingbox BOX Pro has been redesigned and laid out, supplemented by a pink color scheme, which looks more concise and fashionable than Lingbox BOX. In addition, the whole series of the new car is equipped with a floating central control screen, and the size of the central control screen of the top model will reach 10.1 inches. After the re-planning, the air-conditioning control area below the central control screen was also changed to a horizontal layout, and black high-gloss painting was added around the buttons and knobs.

In terms of power, Lingbox BOX Pro low and medium trim models will be equipped with a drive motor with a maximum power of 30kW and a peak torque of 95N m, while the top version of the motor will have a maximum power of 35kW and a peak torque of 125N m. In addition, the new car will provide three CLTC endurance versions of 145km, 205km and 320km.
