We obtained a set of real shots of Chery 2.0TGDI engine recently. Through the actual machine diagram, we can clearly see the engine code number F4J20 and some internal structures, such as tensioners, steering pump pulleys, generator, belt layout and cylinder heads. This 2.0T engine has a maximum power of 254 horsepower and is expected to be first installed on the EXEED VX.
From the picture we see the code number of F4J20, confirming the identity of the engine. Unlike the mass-produced 1.6TGDI engine, which is almost completely covered with resin-based cylinder heads, the 2.0TGDI engine is covered with resin at the top, with aluminum alloy cylinder heads on the sides, and two intake and exhaust camshafts on the aluminum alloy side. The outside sensor shows that the 2.0TGDI engine itself is not a simple expansion cylinder of 1.6TGDI, it is very likely that more new technologies will be added.
It is reported that this 2.0TGDI engine uses in-cylinder direct-injection technology. The maximum power of the engine is 187kW (254 horsepower) and the maximum torque is 385N · m. The EXEED VX is expected to be the first model equipped with this engine. The car is the 7-seat mid- to large-sized SUV. It is also a flagship SUV sitting in Chery’s high-end. It will provide 1.6TGDI and 2.0TGDI engines for selection in the future.
