On March 30, BYD officially released the official picture of its all-new sedan, the Seal (Chinese say “海豹” meaning “seal”). As a member of BYD’s marine series, the new car may be officially released in the near future and listed in the year. The official revealed the price of the new car is expected to be in the range of 220,000-280,000 yuan.
According to previous official disclosures, the BYD Seal is built on the e-platform 3.0, and the new car adopts the styling idea of the concept car Ocean-X, which is different from the Dynasty series models as a whole. With a unique closed-front face design, it looks quite sporty with C-shaped headlights.
The taillight group features the latest bar-type design, with an exaggerated underbody spoiler and sports rear surround, which makes the whole vehicle highlight the sporty temperament. Judging from the previously reported declaration information, the seal’s body length, width and height are 4800/1875/1460mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 2920mm.
In terms of power, according to the declaration information, there will be three combinations of 150kW single motor, 230kW single motor, and 160kW/230kW dual-motor four-wheel drive to choose from.
