Great Wall Motors (GWM)’ new pickup P-series (Pao) off-road edition officially debuted today in Xinjiang China, the new pickup is powered by 2.0T+8AT power combination, features many professional off-road configurations such as three differential locks, creep mode, tank turn, make it a professional off-road vehicle like the just-launched Haval H9. Previously, the P-series (Pao) passenger pickup was just launched in Chinese market with price range of 126,800 -159,800 yuan (~US$17,739 – US$22,356).
In terms of appearance, the P-series off road edition has a new style, the appearance is tough and round. The large-mouth black grille has a wide plaque, the black and white off-road kits are used in the front and rear bumpers and wheel eyebrows. The shape of the tail is full and thick and broad, matches with black luggage rack and thick roll cage.
Body size, P-series off-road pickup has a length, width and height of 5437/1958/1886mm and wheelbase of 3230mm, the size of the bed is 1520 × 1520 × 538mm, the approach angle and the departure angle are 30° and 26°, respectively, and the ground clearance is up to 245 mm.
The interior of P-series pickup is finished with a large black area, adding red leather and silver trim, and a 9-inch touch screen with car networking and voice interaction in central control area. In addition, the pickup also has a 7-inch LCD instrument panel, electric sunroof, electronic hand brake, automatic parking, automatic air conditioning and shift paddles.
As it is an off-road edition, the off-road property of this pickup is powerful, with a wading depth of up to 900mm, plus creep mode, tank U-turn, three locks, features standard, economy, sports, snow, mud, 4L, total 7 all-terrain driving modes. It is especially worth noting that off-road weapons such as winches and wading hoses will be standard configurations on the GWM P-series off-road pickup.
In terms of power, the pickup is powered by a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 187 hp (140 kW), maximum torque of 360 Nm, the transmission system is matched with the 8-AT gearbox from ZF.
