At the 2019 Chengdu Auto Show, JAC Jiayue A5 hatchback sports car was officially unveiled, opening the JAC passenger car 3.0 era; on April 20th, 2020, Jiayue X7 was launched, further enriching the JAC passenger car 3.0 era product layout.
On June 27th, 2020, JAC’s new small SUV, Jiayue X4, was officially launched. The official guide price range was 72,800-99,800 yuan(~US$10,286-14,102). JAC Jiayue X4 is another masterpiece of JAC passenger car 3.0 era after Jiayue X7, it is positioned as a small SUV, the appearance of Jiayue X4 adopts the latest family design language, it is equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument and a 10.25-inch central control large screen. The power system is a 1.5T turbocharged engine.
In terms of appearance, JAC Jiayue X4 features a new family-style design language officially called “Global Design of JAC Passenger Car 3.0 Era”, with straight lines and corners as the main design elements. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4410/1800/1660mm, the wheelbase is 2620mm, and it is positioned as a small SUV. The side of JAC Jiayue X4 adopts double waistline design and hidden B/C pillar design to create a floating roof effect, the overall visual effect is dynamic. The rear lights of the new car use the popular bar-type design, the overall shape echoes the headlights.
As for the interior, the overall interior in dark tones is supplemented with more chrome-plated elements to make it look more textured. Specifically, the new car’s center console adopts a horizontal design as a whole, and the large-size floating central control screen further increases the daily practicality.
In terms of power, JAC Jiayue X4 is powered by a 1.5T engine code-named HFC4GB2.4E, with a maximum power of 150 horsepower and a peak torque of 210 Nm. The transmission system is matched with a 6-speed manual gearbox or CVT gearbox. The acceleration of 0-60km/h is only 4.3 seconds, and it is produced in JAC-Volkswagen’s production line.
