Hanteng V7, as the first “high-end family-use luxury MPV” of Hanteng Autos, appeared at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show and officially opened for pre-sale. It offers total four models in two power combinations, price starts from 95,800 to 135,800 yuan (~US$13879 – US$19,674).
The exterior of the car features a hexagonal large-mouth front grille on the front face, the LED light sets on both sides are directly connected to the front grille to achieve an open-eye design, and the underside bumper is also embellished with a chrome trim.
As a high-end luxury MPV for home use in Hanteng production line, the design of the Hanteng V7 strives to create a comfortable and soft ride environment and experience. The vehicle equipped with Bosch 9.3 version of the ESP system, dual 12.3-inch full LCD display, mobile phone wireless charging and other user-friendly features.
Size of Hanteng V7 measures 4826/1858/1721mm, and the wheelbase is 2800mm.
Technology configurations: ADAS driver assistance system, including LDW lane departure warning, AEB active brake technology (including pedestrian recognition protection), SLIF speed limit information reminder, full-speed adaptive cruise system and HBA smart high beam.
In addition, the Hanteng V7 also offers 360 degree panoramic image system, BSI blind spot monitoring, TPMS tire pressure monitoring, ABS + EBD + ESP and other luxury level active safety configuration, as well as front double airbags, front The all-round passive safety configuration of side airbags and side air curtains.
In terms of power, Hanteng V7 will has 1.5-Liter turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 115kW (154HP). The transmission is matched with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Previously, joint venture brands such as Honda’s Odyssey, Buick’s GL8, GL6 sales have been very popular, Toyota’s Vellfire, Alphard is selling higer than retail price in China market, even though, its hard to get one. China brands such as BYD Song Max also occupied the market soon after the listing. At 2019 Shanghai auto show, we went to the replacement model of SAIC-Maxus G20, and the Hanteng V7 introduced now, many China vehicle brand released their own MPV model, price getting lower… competition in the MPV segment will become increasingly fierce.
