At the 2026 Chongqing Auto Show, which kicked off on June 13, Great Wall Motor officially launched the GWM Poer Hi4-T Debuts at. The lineup includes both commercial and passenger versions, with a total of four models available. The commercial version is priced between 149,800 and 166,800 yuan (approx. $20,700 – $23,000), while the passenger version ranges from 176,800 to 186,800 yuan (approx. $24,400 – $25,800).
The new model retains the design language of its internal combustion engine counterpart, with the addition of a charging port on the side opposite the fuel filler. The passenger version features a chrome-accented front grille, while the commercial version sports a black mesh grille and includes external cargo hooks to enhance its utility. The passenger version uses a standard bed design, measuring 5,416/1,947/1,886 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3,230 mm and a cargo bed size of 1,520/1,520/540 mm. The commercial version adopts a long-bed configuration, measuring 5,653/1,883/1,882 mm with a 3,470 mm wheelbase and a 1,760/1,520/540 mm cargo bed.
Inside, the vehicle is equipped with the Coffee OS 3 smart cockpit, featuring a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating central touchscreen. The cabin has undergone over 100 sound-insulation treatments and supports L2-level driver assistance systems and a Sentry Mode to meet daily commuting needs.
Under the hood, the Hi4-T utilizes a 2.0T engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 310 kW and 750 Nm of torque, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. It features a 33.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a WLTC pure electric range of 95 km for the 4WD version and 100 km for the 2WD version, with a maximum NEDC combined range of 1,081 km. The vehicle also supports dual 6kW V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) functionality and boasts a 3-ton towing capacity.
Built on a non-load-bearing chassis, the truck is equipped with a BorgWarner part-time 4WD system, supporting six all-terrain driving modes: 2H, 4H, 4L, Snow, Mud, and Sand. The passenger version offers an optional electronically controlled rear axle differential lock. Furthermore, the battery pack is mounted within the rear longitudinal beams of the frame, providing a ground clearance of 700 mm, with additional protection from the spare tire to ensure the battery remains safe on unpaved roads.
