We learned from Skywell Automobile that its first EV, Skywell ET5, will start to pre-sale on July 18. The new car is positioned in a pure electric mid-size SUV with a pure electric range of about 500km (under NEDC standards). It is reported that the EV will be on sale in the third quarter of this year.
Skywell Automobile belongs to Skywell New Energy Automobile Group. Skywell ET5 is the company’s first mass-produced model. Judging from the previously exposed new car official photos, the car adopts the modern “Bauhaus” design concept, the front line is flexible, the closed grille is decorated with diamonds, the lower bumper area uses an exaggerated concave treatment to widen the visual ratio of the front. The shape of the headlights is very angular, the lines and the curvature of the front are fused, and the horizontal internal light tubes are very imposing. The headlights are matrix laser headlights with an irradiation distance of 300 meters.
From the side of the body, the waistline continues from the front fender to the taillights. With the wide rear design, it gives a thick and solid feeling. The front and rear raised eyebrows also give the car a sense of movement. The taillight adopts a bar-type design, the logo of the brand letter “SKYWELL” is added inside, the vertical triangle width indicator lamp increases the recognition of the vehicle.
In terms of interior, the new car adopts the main body color that tends to be black and is decorated with chrome elements. The overall look is younger and more fashionable. Specifically, the 12.3-inch full LCD digital instrument and the 12.8-inch full LCD display are the highlights inside the new car. In addition, the three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and knob-type shift mechanism add a bit of technological texture to the vehicle. At the same time, the new car will also be equipped with the Skylink intelligent network connection system provided by Skyworth.
In terms of power, the official has not disclosed, anyway, Skywell ET5 is equipped with a nickel-cobalt-manganese ternary lithium battery pack with an energy density of up to 170Wh/kg, supplemented by a highly integrated three-in-one electric drive system, the maximum efficiency of the drive motor is ≥94%, and the cruising range will reach 500km (NEDC standard).
