Changan Automobile’s latest SUV, Changan UNI-T, the first model in Changan’s “gravity” series, will officially start pre-sale on May 20, 2020, in the Chinese market. According to previous news, the price of UNI-T is expected to be between 120,000 and 150,000 yuan (~US$16,898 – US$21,122), the new car will also be officially launched in June.
A brief review of the basic points of Changan UNI-T. The UNI-T front grille adopts a “borderless” design, which gradually evolves from the diamond-shaped element in the center to the surroundings, and finally merges with the front face. The black areas on the broken lines on both sides of the front face incorporate split headlights. The sharp shape has a high degree of recognition and the visual effect is full of fashion.
In terms of interior, the new car is equipped with an integrated dual 10.25-inch touch screen and built-in AI chip. It will provide adaptive light group, LED daytime running lights, defrosting / heating of exterior mirrors, panoramic images, automatic parking, mobile phone interconnection, mobile phone wireless charging, adaptive cruise, AEB Vehicle warning auxiliary braking, LAS lane departure warning, etc.
In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width, and height of 4515/1870 / 1565mm and a wheelbase of 2710mm. It is positioned as a compact SUV.
In the power section, the new car is equipped with a blue whale NE1.5T direct injection engine, with a maximum power of 180 horsepower (132kW), peak torque of 300 Nm, and transmission matching the blue whale 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox.
