Changan has officially launched the Qiyuan Q06, a new mid-size SUV that aims to disrupt the competitive 200,000-yuan segment with a focus on “class-leading” space, technology, and value. The vehicle is built on the SDA intelligent digital platform and integrates Changan’s proprietary Tianshu intelligent systems, including advanced cockpit, chassis, and autonomous driving technologies.
The Q06 features a “Flowing Light” design language, characterized by a sleek, aerodynamic silhouette with a drag coefficient of 0.27. It measures 4,837 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 2,940 mm. The front fascia is highlighted by a continuous LED light strip, while the rear showcases a muscular stance with integrated diffuser styling.
Inside, the cabin emphasizes a “wrap-around” design with high-quality, eco-friendly materials covering 90.6% of the interior surfaces. Technology takes center stage with a 15.6-inch 2.5K central display powered by the MediaTek 8676 4nm chip. The vehicle also offers premium comfort features, including zero-gravity seats, a 9.5L dual-zone refrigerator, and a 15.6-inch ceiling-mounted screen for rear passengers.
The Q06 is available in both pure electric and range-extender (EREV) configurations. The pure electric version features an 800V architecture with 6C ultra-fast charging. It offers single-motor (225kW or 245kW) and dual-motor (330kW) options, with a 0-100 km/h sprint as fast as 4.8 seconds. The EREV model pairs a 1.5L engine with a dual-motor rear-wheel-drive system, delivering a combined range of up to 1,600 km.
Pricing for the Changan Qiyuan Q06 ranges from 139,900 to 169,900 yuan ($19,900 – $24,200), with a limited-time promotional price starting at 135,900 yuan ($19,300).
