Recently, we learned from the Changan Auto official that Changan CS55 E-Rock (pure electric version) will be officially listed on July 9. The new car is positioned in a pure electric compact SUV, and it has launched a total of two range versions. The range of NEDC is 403km and 605km respectively. The new car will be offered in a total of five variants, the pre-sale price is 164,900 to 205,900 yuan (~US$23,333 – US$29,134).
In terms of appearance, the CS55 E-Rock is based on the CS55 PLUS. The appearance of the two cars is highly similar. However, in some details, the CS55 pure electric version will highlight the design features of new energy models, such as the use of a closed grille, elements such as blue trim are added to the fender and other locations.
The interior of the new car also adopts a family-style design, and the center console creates a sense of hierarchy through more lines. The 10-inch full LCD instrument and 10.25-inch touch control screen adopt an integrated design, adding a touch of technology to the interior. In terms of configuration, the car has mobile phone wireless charging, Sony audio, four-way surround-view driving recorder, and intelligent voice assistant.
In terms of power, the new car is powered by an E-motor with a maximum power of 160kW and a peak torque of 300N·m. There are 84.2kWh and 52.7kWh versions of the battery, which correspond to two NEDC cruising ranges of 605km and 403km. In fast charging mode, it takes 35 minutes for the new car to charge the battery from 30% to 80%.
