Changan Automobile released a design sketch for new CS55 model. As facelift, the appearance of the new CS55 has changed significantly and is expected to be officially unveiled in the third quarter 2019.
The front headlights of the new CS55 are integrated with the air intake grille. Based on Changan’s family X-like design language, the new CS55’s detail design brings more tough style, the V-shaped straight line and the polygonal mount on both sides create a very sharp visual effect.
The most obvious feature of the new CS55 is that it is fitted with a straight and slender bar-style taillight set. The horizontal layout echoes the line elements of the rear spoiler, the rear surround, and the tailgate line. At the bottom, the new car also features a bilateral exhaust that has been sported. However, with reference to the current model, it is expected that only the right exhaust pipe will be provided with a real exhaust pipe.
At present, the interior and power system of the new car is still unknown. Based on the current model, the new car is expected to continue to be powered by a 1.5T engine with maximum power of 156ps and peak torque of 225 Nm. The transmission system is matched with 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT transmission.
