At the 2019 Chongqing Auto Show, Changan Automobile released Changan Yidong BLUECORE Edition, Changan Yidong has also an English name EADO, it is a sedan from Changan lineup, slotting in below the Raeton CC, it developed into 2nd-generation now. The biggest highlight of CHANGAN EADO is the replacement of a 1.4T turbocharged engine from the Changan Bluecore (It also translates into Blue Whale) NE power platform, performance has been greatly improved compared to the current 1.6L engine.
In appearance, Changan EADO Bluecore Edition continues the sleek design, it adjusted only in some details. The front face features Changan’s iconic “DIEYI” family design, a X-like or so-called butterfly-wing style grille. The chrome-plated strip of the mesh frame in the current 1.6L model was dumped on EADO Bluecore Edition.
The change of the rear end is mainly on rear bumper: the lateral chrome strip is dumped, the matte black color is changed to bright black, and added bilateral single exhaust.
The interior design has not been modified, the large-scale silver central control panel is used to highlight the sense of grade. The three-position steering wheel, red door handle and red seat bring a little sporty feeling to the interior.
Power is the highlight of Changan EADO Bluecore Edition. The 1.4-Liter turbocharged engine from the Bluecore NE power platform is the cutting-edge technology, thermal efficiency increased to 40%, it meet the China-VI emission standard, with a maximum power of 116kW (155hp) and peak torque of 260N·m at 1400rpm, it is matched with 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox, the official claim that its 0-100km / h acceleration time is only 7.9s, the comprehensive fuel consumption of 5.9L per 100 km. Comparing to the former 1.6L aspirated engine (94kW-125hp, 161N.m), it has greatly improved.
