Xiaomi YU7 GT Arrives at Dealerships: A 738kW Grand Touring SUV Ready for Launch

The Xiaomi YU7 GT has officially arrived at dealerships, with a formal launch scheduled for the end of May. Positioned by the manufacturer as a “grand touring sports SUV,” the vehicle features a performance-oriented design, a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, and a track-proven chassis.

The YU7 GT builds upon the design language of the YU7 GT builds upon the design language standard YU7 but adopts a more aggressive, low-slung stance. It features a long hood, a wider body, and an exclusive “Cherry Red” paint option. The front fascia is distinguished by a black-and-gold brand logo, enhanced air intakes, and a prominent front splitter.

The vehicle is equipped with frameless side mirrors, flush electric door handles, and standard 21-inch wheels paired with red brake calipers. The rear profile is highlighted by a functional diffuser and specific “GT” badging to differentiate it from the base model. In terms of dimensions, the YU7 GT measures 5,015mm in length, 2,007mm in width, and 1,597mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000mm. Compared to the standard YU7, it is 10mm longer, 21mm wider, and 23mm lower, contributing to its planted, wide-body aesthetic.

Inside, the cabin retains the layout of the standard YU7 but introduces a striking black-and-red color scheme. The interior is finished with Nappa leather and Alcantara, accented by carbon fiber trim, red stitching, and red seatbelts. The integrated sports seats and passenger dashboard feature “GT” embroidery. The steering wheel includes a dedicated physical “boost” button, and the infotainment system features a unique performance-themed UI displayed across the floating center screen and the panoramic instrument cluster.

Powering the YU7 GT is a dual-motor AWD system, with the front motor producing 288kW and the rear motor 450kW, resulting in a combined output of 738kW. It is powered by a 101.7kWh ternary lithium battery, offering a CLTC-rated range of 705km. Built on an 800V high-voltage architecture, the vehicle can charge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes. The model has already demonstrated its performance capabilities on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, clocking a lap time of 7 minutes and 32 seconds.
