We’ve got our hands on the latest declaration images of Xiaomi‘s upcoming SUV, the YU7, from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This mid-to-large electric SUV is set to hit the market in June or July of 2025 with an estimated price range of 300,000 to 400,000 yuan (~US$41,000 – ~US$55,000). Let’s dive in and take a first look!

The new car showcases Xiaomi’s signature design language. Its bullet-shaped headlights, paired with multiple-lens configuration, give the vehicle a sharp and focused look. The lower fascia features a large, blackened air intake with a distinctive “tusks” design and side air ducts, enhancing its sporty appeal. The side profile reveals a sleek coupe-like silhouette with an elongated front end, dynamic lines, and an overall sporty demeanor that rivals a Ferrari.

At the rear, the new car unsurprisingly continues to adopt Xiaomi’s family-style taillights, which look like a widened “concave” shape from a distance, with a very high degree of recognition. The rear bumper also continues the design style of the SU7, and together with the roof spoiler, further enhances the sporty feel. In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width, and height of 4999/1996/1600mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 3000mm.

The new car is powered by a dual-motor setup, delivering a maximum combined output of 220kW and 288kW. It has a top speed of 253km/h.
