Today, some real shot pictures of Baojun new coupe is revealed, the brand-new coupe code-named CN220C is expected to be named RC-5 (S stands for SUV, C stands for sedan, M stands for MPV), it is the first sedan model from Baojun R series. The biggest highlight of the new car is the dynamic stylish fast back appearance.
It can be seen from the pictures that the new car and the renderings are exactly the same. The front face is Baojun’s new “starry” air intake grille, the headlight group is also a brand-new look, the new car is embedded on Baojun’s new “diamond” badge. Baojun has announced that the new car has a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, which is 100 mm longer than Honda Civic(2,700 mm). It is expected to have a good performance in the passenger space.
Regarding the power system of RC-5, the official does not disclose more information. It is expected to be the same as RS-5 powertrain. The maximum output power is 111kW (147hp), the peak torque is 250 Nm, and the transmission system is matched with manual or CVT.
Price range of RC-5 is expected to be similar to RS-5 (96,800-132,800 yuan) in China market. The appearance of the RC-5 is really good, but there are also many joint venture vehicle brands in this price segment, the competition will be serious.
