On the evening of January 13, 2020, SGMW Baojun officially released its new mini pure electric vehicle – Baojun E300. The E300 is the first pure electric model after SGMW Baojun changed its badge, the exterior features the family design language of “Interstellar Geometry”, and will be available in two, three and four seat layouts.
Similar to the previous two models of Baojun E100 and E200, the exterior and interior design of the Baojun E300 is still very individual. In the most popular new energy vehicle segment at present, Baojun brand has unique insights, unlike traditional car companies such as BYD and Geely, Baojun has always bet on small city commuters and has already relied on electric scooters such as E200 to obtain up to 60,000 sales, it seems that new energy models suitable for short-distance travel will still be the most important development direction of Baojun in the future.
In terms of appearance, the front face of Baojun E300 can be described as cute, design language is clear and simple, that is, the “hollow square” character is the core element of multiple designs, such as the design of headlights and fog lights. In addition, the car features a two-color roof, which is more in line with this product’s unique characteristics.
Baojun E300 is also equipped with a “cross-shaped” closed rim. Its tire size is 145/70 R12. In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width, height of 2625/1647 / 1588mm, the wheelbase is 1750mm.
In terms of interior trim, the center console uses a minimalist style similar to previous Baojun E100 and E200, the overall shape layout is closer to that of Baojun E100. The shape of the steering wheel is very cartoon, not purely round, the positions on the top and bottom are a little flat.

Behind the steering wheel is a floating instrument panel, which is larger than the Baojun E100. There are only a few keys in the middle of the center console, the air conditioner air outlet position returns to normal, it is no longer the E100 and E200 layout near the front windshield.
Baojun E300 features a 2 + 1 three-seater layout, this will be a highlight of the car, from the perspective of the real car, the front passenger seat can be adjusted forward and backward, and the front passenger seat back can be folded forward.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a motor produced by Zhejiang FDM Motor Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 39 horsepower. And adopt lithium iron phosphate material power battery, the total capacity is 16.8kWh.
According to the current price of Baojun E200, the price of baojun E300 is likely to be in the range of 60,000 to 70,000 yuan (~US$8,726 – US$10,180) after subsidy
