SAIC Volkswagen has announced that the all-new Passat Pro will be unveiled on September 10th at 8 PM. The vehicle boasts significant upgrades in design, interior, and features, and will come equipped with a 2.0T engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The new model will offer two distinct front fascia designs. The Pioneer Edition features a horizontal chrome grille for a more business-like and sophisticated appearance. The Starry Sky Edition, on the other hand, sports a black grille and dynamic fog light accents, creating a sportier look.
At the rear, all-new Passat Pro features a full-width taillight design with an all-new internal pattern, creating a more three-dimensional effect. The Pioneer Edition is adorned with chrome badging and an underbody trim, while the Starry Sky Edition opts for black badging and an underbody, and both versions feature a hidden exhaust system. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5006mm in length, 1850mm in width, and 1489mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2871mm. This represents a significant increase compared to the European version’s wheelbase of 2841mm.
Powering the new model is a 2.0T engine producing a maximum output of 162 kilowatts. Transmission duties are handled by a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The 2.0T variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and achieves a combined fuel consumption of 6.87 L/100km.
