We learned from SAIC-MAXUS that its new medium-sized SUV, the D60, will be officially launched on July 18. The new car can be considered as a production model of the TARANTULA concept car, Maxus D60 is positioned in a mid-sized SUV, it will provide C2B smart customization mode to provide users with a variety of travel options in China market.
For the interior, MAXUS D60 will be equipped with a red and black two-tone sports interior. The center console is designed for vertical large-size central control LCD display, flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel and full LCD instrument will be appeared on the new car. It is understood that the new car will provide 2+3, 2+2+2, 2+3+2 seat layouts to meet the needs of different scenes of urban life.
In terms of power, Maxus D60 will be powered by 1.3T and 1.5T engines and will be matched with 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch gearboxes. It will also take the lead in carrying the new generation Level 2.5 intelligent driving system from SAIC, which can achieve almost Level 3 autopilot in closed high-speed environment, automatic follow-up in congested roads, unmanned parking in parking lot and remote calling features by owner. It will also have a driver reminder system with AI face recognition to ensure that the driver concentrates on driving.
