We learned from the HAIMA Motor that its brand-new compact SUV, Haima 8S, will be officially launched today (July 8th). The new car is newly developed based on the HMGA modular platform, it has already been pre-sold before the official launch, the price range of Haima 8S is 86,000-130,000 yuan (~US$12,477 – US$18,861).
Appearance of the new car is similar to the second-gen HAIMA S5 that uses point-shaped air intake grille, and adopts the current popular split-type headlight design, plus the LED light source, body size of 4565/1850/1682mm，wheelbase of 2700mm.

Haima 8S will be powered by a 1.6T turbocharged engine model HMA GA16-YF with maximum power of 195 ps (143 kW) and peak torque of 293 N.m, matching with a 6-speed AMT transmission. In addition, the car will also launch the 1.2T hybrid version in the future, and the transmission will be matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
