Recently, we learned from the Great Wall Motors official that its WEY brand will release a new SUV concept car at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. The official also debut teaser images of design manuscript of the new car. From the manuscript, the new car or be named “WEY-S” and may be a pure electric car.
From the design manuscript showing the whole body of the new car, the WEY brand new concept car has a sharp and angular shape, a strong posture, avant-garde style and a sporty style. In the front part of the car, the new car uses a clamshell-shaped three-dimensional engine compartment cover, which is matched with a sharp quadrilateral light-sword LED headlight, and is also equipped with a closed front grille, so we guess that the new car should be a pure electric SUV. In the front bumper part, the new car continues the three-dimensional style, the two large-size openings and the lower air intakes are outlined by fold lines, and the levels are relatively clear. From the words on the edge of the lower air intake frame, the new car will be named “WEY-S”.
In the interior part, the official has only published a detailed image, the part of the display or the front center console part, the upper part is covered with stitched blue Alcantara material, the bottom is suspected to be a beige leather, while the center is a combination of chrome trim air conditioning vents and diamond-cut glass decoration, which looks quite textured.
The power system of the WEY-S concept car is still unknown, but in combination with the closed front grille and low wind resistance external design described above, the car may use a pure electric power system.
