Recently, Dongfeng-Fengon (Fengguang, DFSK’s vehicle brand)’s new mid-size SUV, Dongfeng Fengon ix7 (internal code name “F517”), was unveiled. Fengon ix7 is similar in size to the previously released Fengon ix5, Fengon ix5 is Coupe style SUV, while the Fengon ix7 is more like a traditional SUV, ix7 is expected to be positioned above the ix5 to become the new flagship SUV model of Dongfeng Fengon.
Appearance, Dongfeng Fengon ix7 features a dot matrix front grille, which is similar to Fengon ix5 or Fengon (Glory) 580 pro, headlights is flat and long, it is in line with the current aesthetics of young consumers. It is expected that both headlights and fog ligths will use LED light sources.
From the side view, the body line of Fengon ix7 is more gradual, the layer of roof is more obvious. The front and rear wheel eyebrows have a slightly raised design, making the overall look sportier. The rear end of the car features current popular bar-style taillight with a chrome trim strip in the middle and a bilateral exhaust trim on the bottom.
In terms of power, the official has not disclosed more information, taking Fengon ix5 as reference, it is equipped with two 1.5T turbocharged engines, the maximum power is 180 horsepower and 150 horsepower, the transmission is matched with 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox.
