Changan Qiyuan has officially unveiled more details regarding its upcoming global strategic SUV, the Qiyuan Q06. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the vehicle is expected to hit the market with a price tag around 200,000 RMB (approximately $27,500 USD). Built on the advanced SDA Tianshu architecture, the Q06 is set to feature high-level intelligent driving assistance systems and Changan’s proprietary Taihang distributed electric drive technology.

In terms of design, the Q06 adopts the “Fuguang” (Floating Light) aesthetic philosophy. The front fascia features a clean, closed-off grille complemented by a star-ring style continuous light strip, giving it a modern and sophisticated look. The three-section air intake design adds a touch of sportiness to the overall profile. Notably, the vehicle is equipped with LiDAR sensors to support its advanced intelligent driving capabilities.

From the side, the Q06 showcases a muscular stance with slightly flared wheel arches. It rides on dual five-spoke gun-grey wheels paired with eye-catching yellow brake calipers, reinforcing its performance-oriented character. The design also incorporates semi-hidden door handles and roof rails, which enhance both aerodynamics and utility.

The rear of the vehicle is defined by a continuous taillight assembly with split-style elements on the sides. The aggressive rear diffuser design further aligns with the preferences of younger consumers looking for a bold aesthetic.

Measuring 4837/1970/1670mm with a wheelbase of 2940mm, the Q06 offers a spacious interior footprint. The chassis utilizes an all-aluminum construction with a front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension setup, ensuring a premium ride quality.

Under the hood, the Q06 is powered by a pure electric powertrain. Dual-motor variants offer a combined output of 165kW/165kW, while single-motor versions provide options of 225kW or 245kW. The vehicle is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack and utilizes an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, supporting 6C ultra-fast charging for rapid energy replenishment.
