Xiaomi’s new sub-brand, Skynomad, has officially unveiled its first SUV, the Skynomad N90. Positioned as a large SUV with a seven-seat layout, the vehicle is built on Xiaomi’s Kunlun architecture, which enables a completely flat floor and a long-rail seat configuration. Skynomad serves as Xiaomi Auto’s second product series, specifically targeting the smart, flexible, large-space SUV market.

The official images confirm the “N90” moniker, signaling a strong entry into the “9-series” SUV segment. The front design features Xiaomi’s signature “Mi”-style LED lighting, integrated into a continuous panel that bears the “SkyNomad” branding. The front bumper shares a strong family resemblance with the SU7 and YU7 series, featuring triangular side air vents and a large trapezoidal central intake. A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor is also clearly visible.

The side profile showcases a wide-body stance with pronounced front and rear fenders. The front fenders house additional sensor hardware, while the floating side mirrors mirror those found on the SU7 and YU7. The door handles utilize a semi-hidden mechanical design compliant with the latest national standards. The vehicle rides on large, multi-spoke wheels, with chrome window trim adding a touch of luxury. The rear features the brand’s signature gate-shaped taillights, with speculation suggesting a potential split-tailgate design.

Inside, the seven-seat configuration emphasizes versatility. The cabin features a flat floor and full-length seat rails. The front seats can rotate 180 degrees, while the second row is equipped with zero-gravity seats. The interior supports various table configurations, including adjustable surfaces mounted on the rails or the sliding center console. A roof-mounted screen is also present, which can be moved forward and backward, and the third row can accommodate tablet mounts on the back of the front seats. Air conditioning vents are integrated into the B-pillars, and a small control screen is located at the rear of the center console.

The dashboard follows a minimalist design language, dominated by a single floating central touchscreen with storage space underneath, allowing for a spacious walkway between the front seats. Even with a full passenger load, the trunk maintains significant cargo capacity.

Reports suggest a high-roof version with an integrated rooftop tent will be available to further emphasize its “freedom and space” attributes. In terms of powertrain, the N90 is expected to feature a 1.5T range extender paired with a large battery exceeding 70kWh, potentially offering a pure electric range of 400-500km to balance daily commuting with long-distance travel. We will continue to monitor this vehicle for further updates.
