Volkswagen Bora to Launch EV model in China Market

On March 25th, FAW-Volkswagen Launched Bora EV version in China market. Bora EV is based on Bora fuel version and powered by a 100kW (135PS) electric motor.

In the exterior part, Bora EV is basically the same as the fuel version. The popular family design language is also applied in the new car. The inverted trapezoidal air intake grille adds blue trim and the “e-BORA” logo to highlight its new energy Identity. In addition, the application of the C-shaped LED daytime running lights on both sides of the front bumper makes it a bit more refined than the fuel version.

Body size measures 4671/1815/1473mm, wheelbase is 2680mm. According to different configurations, a 16-inch or 2 types of 17-inch wheels are available, matching 205/55 R16 or 225/45 R17. tires.

Bora EV does not change much compared to the fuel version in the tail part.

In terms of interiors, Bora EV is similar to the fuel version. However, due to the difference in powertrain, the display information on the dashboard is not the same.

In terms of power, Bora EV is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 100kW (136PS) and a peak torque of 290N·m. Battery group is from CATL. It provides both AC slow charging/DC fast charging mode. The cruising range is still not officially announced.
