GAC EV Brand AION Enters Cambodia, Its Second Overseas Market After Thailand

On December 4th, it was announced that on December 2nd, at a grand press conference held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, GAC’s EV brand AION teamed up with Cambodia Xinghui Automobile to officially enter the Cambodian market and released the AION Y PLUS model. This is also the second overseas market officially opened by GAC AION on a global scale, following its first entry into Thailand.

In addition, GAC AION has launched home charging station installation services in Thailand, starting from Thailand and radiating to the Southeast Asian market.

GAC AION sold 41,567 vehicles in November, a year-on-year increase of 45%; From January to November, the cumulative sales volume was 434,056 units, a year-on-year increase of 80%.

According to previous reports, in September this year, GAC AION released its first overseas model, AION Y Plus, in Bangkok, Thailand. Gu Huinan, General Manager of GAC AION, stated at the press conference that in the future, the brand will gradually achieve localization in production, sales, and services in Thailand, helping Thailand accelerate its development into the center of Southeast Asian electric vehicle industry.
