Hongqi has officially debuted at the Hong Kong International Auto Show, showcasing three new right-hand drive (RHD) pure electric models. The brand emphasized that, using Hong Kong as a strategic hub, it plans to introduce at least six new energy vehicles (NEVs) to global RHD markets over the next three years, further expanding its international footprint.
The three models presented aim to cater to diverse consumer needs with a well-rounded product lineup.
The Hongqi Global SUV is positioned as a premium, aesthetically-driven intelligent electric SUV. It blends Eastern and Western design philosophies, featuring slim headlights and an exclusive “Celadon Green” paint finish. The cabin utilizes a balanced, symmetrical layout designed for both urban commuting and family travel. The vehicle adheres to stringent global safety standards and is scheduled to launch in the Hong Kong market in Q4 2026.
The Hongqi EHS5 is a high-performance electric SUV. It is equipped with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system and professional-grade chassis tuning, focusing primarily on delivering a dynamic driving experience.
The Hongqi E-HS9 RHD version serves as the brand’s flagship luxury electric SUV. It inherits the “Taihe” design philosophy, characterized by its bold and imposing silhouette. It is powered by a 120kWh battery pack paired with a dual-motor powertrain, ensuring long-range capability and confidence across various road conditions. Safety features include a 9H cage-style body structure and an IP68-rated waterproof battery pack.
In addition to the vehicle lineup, the Hongqi Hong Kong Experience Center is set to open in Taikoo Shing on July 1st. This facility will implement the “Hongqi CARE 365” service program, providing comprehensive support throughout the entire vehicle ownership lifecycle, including viewing, test drives, delivery, and after-sales maintenance.
