Recently, we obtained the declaration information of FAW Bestune T33 from the official website of China MIIT. The FAW Bestune T33 is considered to be the facelift of FAW Bestune X40, the biggest change of Bestune T33 is that the appearance design is much close to the design language of the latest Bestune T77.
As a mid-cycle refresh model of Bestune X40, Bestune T33 adopts the latest family-style front face of Bestune T series, and updated the same inverted trapezoidal grille as Bestune T77. The grille style and badge are the same as the T77. The lights are slender and sharp, the design of the front bumper is more dynamic. The headlights on both sides are added with LED light source, LED daytime running lights are also available on T33.
In the rear end, a silver decorative strip bar is connected the two LED taillights, it’s not sure now if it has a light bar at the tail. The vertical taillight design on both sides of the rear bumper is also very novel.
However, from the information now known, Bestune T33 has not changed in other aspects. Among them, the body size, although the length is increased by 20mm, reached 4330mm, the height and width are still 1780mm and 1680mm, and the wheelbase is 2600mm.
In terms of power, Bestune T33 will continue to be powered by a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine model CA4GB16 with maximum power of 84kW (112hp)/5500rpm and peak torque of 155N·m/3600rpm, which is as same as the current X40. This engine is also carried on FAW-Senia R7 and Bestune B30. The powertrain is matched to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT transmission. Curb quality is 1345kg.
Bestune T33 is positioned in compact SUV, it is aimed at younger users and is expected to be available in the third quarter in China.
