We learned from the official that FAW Bestune M9 will start pre-sale on March 18, with a pre-sale price of 235,800 to 255,800 yuan. Bestune M9 is the first ever MPV model from this FAW, powered by a 2.0T engine + 48V light hybrid system. It will be listed at the Shanghai Auto Show in April.
FAW Bestune M9 is designed for families and commercial use, with a spacious and comfortable interior that can accommodate up to eight passengers. The exterior is inspired by the company’s “flowing rhythm” design language, with sleek lines and smooth curves, nine horizontal chrome-plated decorative stripes and a trendy split-type headlights designed on the head, and LED daytime running lights running through the upper part and the headlights located on both sides of the center grille.
In terms of vehicle size, the car measures 5280/2005/1945mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 3200mm. The straight waistline and dynamic middle and lower waistline, as well as the integrated door handles design with handles echoing the side body lines, create a more cohesive exterior design. The taillights are a unified style with LED light sources connecting the sides, echoing the “skyline” of the front headlights, and the rear spoiler features a unique hollowed-out design.
The interior color scheme mainly uses beige and brown, and ambient lighting is available in the car. It is equipped with a 7-inch full LCD screen and a 12.3-inch horizontal center console screen. The configuration includes cruise control, reversing image, induction-type wipers, panoramic sunroof, and the vehicle is equipped with electric sliding doors and tailgates.
The car uses a 2+2+3 seat layout, and the second-row seats can slide forward and backward. The seats can be ventilated, heated, and have massage settings, electric lumbar support, leg support, and electric adjustment. The second-row seats are equipped with foldable armrests, data interfaces, and other amenities to ensure convenience. Additionally, the height of the second-row pedals is only 378mm, which makes getting in and out of the car more convenient.
In terms of power, Bestune M9 is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine + 48V light hybrid system, with a maximum power of 185kW and a maximum torque of 380N·m. It can accelerate from 0 to 100km in 8.9 seconds, and the WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption reaches 8.8L/100km, matched with an Aisin 8AT gearbox.
