FAW officially launched the Bestune T77 Pro, a 1.5T version of the T77, last March 7. Five models are available priced from 105,800-138,800 yuan. The T77 Pro comes powered with a 1.5T engine capable of 169 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Physical appearance-wise, the new model is little changed from the T77. The hexagonal large mouth air inlet grill with digital raindrop dot matrix chrome decoration is retained along with the sporty grid and LED headlights.

From the side, the T77 Pro continues the sporty styling of the car’s front – dynamic roof lines, side window chrome strip accents, recessed waistline, below the door chrome trims, and two tone wheels.

The T77 Pro also adopts the shape of the T77 as well as some of its features. The penetrating tail light group employs a black bottom design and uses LED light. A suspended roof effect is achieved with the use of black body pillars while the rear spoiler, sharp-shaped tailgate panel and rear wraparound effect all project a distinct look. A 280 TID logo is added, a hallmark of the new car’s high-end status.

On the inside, the new car continues to share similarities with the 1.2T model. A 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel and center control screen still dominates the left and middle of the double-layer center console. There’s also a slew of technological features: built-in infotainment system, multimedia, navigation, Bluetooth, Baidu CarLife mobile phone interconnection, plus many others. Even the virtual AI voice assistant of the current model is still there.

The Bestune T77 Pro mid- to high-profile models will provide multiple active and passive safety systems, front seat electric adjustment & heating, panoramic sunroofs, ambient lights, automatic air conditioning, adaptive cruise, panoramic images, among other features.
Under the hood, the new car comes equipped with a CA4GB15TD-30 1.5T inline four-cylinder engine capable of maximum power of 169 horsepower and 258 N · m peak torque, meeting the national six emission standards. The engine is matched to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

The car’s physical dimensions are 4525mm in length, 1845mm in width, 1615mm in height with a 2700mm wheelbase.
FAW Bestune first revealed the T77 concept car at the Beijing Auto Show almost two years ago in April 2018. The declaration information and official maps of the mass-production version of the T77 1.2T models followed a few months later. In November of the same year, a mass-production version was officially launched at the Guangzhou Auto Show.
The FAW Bestune T77 Pro faces stiff competition in the Chinese-brand compact SUV market. It shares the segment with similarly-priced models such as the Changan CS75
