The official images of the Dongfeng ePai M8 have been released, showcasing a new mid-to-large six-seater SUV that will offer both pure electric and extended-range powertrain options. The vehicle is scheduled to make its public debut in late May, with an official market launch expected in the third quarter of this year.

In terms of design, the ePai M8 adopts the popular split-headlight configuration seen in many modern new energy vehicles. It features a full-width light bar at the top, complemented by daytime running lights positioned on either side of the front fascia. The side profile is characterized by semi-concealed door handles, silver chrome trim around the windows, and large, solid-style wheels, giving the SUV a balanced and visually striking stance.

The rear of the vehicle features a continuous taillight design, with a high-mounted brake light integrated into the top of the tailgate. The ePai M8 measures 5,020mm in length, 1,975mm in width, and 1,733mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,025mm, accommodating a standard three-row, six-seat layout.

Technologically, the ePai M8 is equipped with Huawei Qiankun intelligent automotive solutions, which include advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the HarmonyOS cockpit, and integrated vehicle control and communication technologies. Notably, it will be among the first vehicles globally to feature the Huawei Qiankun ADS 5.0 Pro, promising a significant leap in autonomous driving capabilities. The vehicle also benefits from a high-end supply chain, including components from CATL, Bosch, ZF, and Fuyao.

Under the hood, the pure electric version utilizes an 800V architecture and 4C battery technology, offering a CLTC-rated range of 600km with a peak motor output of 230kW. The extended-range version pairs a 1.5T engine (95kW max power) with an electric motor, delivering a pure electric range of 300km and a peak drive motor output of 215kW.
