On September 1st, Kayi Automotive officially launched three international versions of its popular Chinese models: the X7 iHD, e-Qute 02, and X3 Pro EV. These new vehicles are set to be exported to various global markets including Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Central and South America.

Kayi Kunlun X7 iHD International Version

Engineered from the Kunlun iHD platform, the Kayi Kunlun X7 iHD International Version is a mid-size SUV designed for global markets. Its striking exterior is characterized by a borderless waterfall grille and a distinctive bar-type light group. The vehicle’s dimensions are 4738mm in length, 1968mm in width, and 1708mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820mm.

The interior of the new vehicle features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a dual-tone three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and a 14.6-inch floating infotainment touchscreen. The crystal diamond-cut gear selector adds a premium touch. The vehicle comes equipped with 14 advanced driver-assistance systems, such as autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and blind spot monitoring. To enhance passenger comfort, the car offers both 5- and 7-seater options and features zero-gravity seats.

The vehicle’s powertrain mirrors that of the Kunlun iHD (Chinese version), featuring a 1.5T internal combustion engine coupled with a dedicated super hybrid DHT. The system is complemented by P1 and P3 electric motors and a 22.48kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, enabling a pure electric range of 150km and a combined CLTC range exceeding 1200km.

Kayi e-Qute 02 International Version

The Kayi e-Qute 02 International Version is a three-door, four-seat, all-electric mini car based on the Kayi Shiyue (Chinese “拾月”, a domestic version). It retains the same “cute but fierce” front-end design as the Shiyue, featuring a minimalist look without a traditional grille. The triangular LED headlights give the car a sharp appearance and are connected by the logo. The overall design is streamlined and dynamic.

The side profile features a floating roof design and a character line that runs the length of the body. The C-pillar is adorned with the Kayi logo. Dimensions include a length of 3360mm, a width of 1700mm, a height of 1600mm, and a wheelbase of 2160mm. The vehicle is equipped with low-drag petal-shaped wheels. At the rear, the taillights are connected by the logo, echoing the triangular design of the headlights.

The interior features a tri-color color scheme, adding a touch of sophistication. The vehicle comes equipped with a floating LCD instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, and supports CarLife, 360-degree camera, Bluetooth, DVR, and tire pressure monitoring. Remote control is also available. The car retains physical buttons for the air conditioning system and the steering wheel offers a full range of functions, including voice control.

Powertrain-wise, similar to the Kayi Shiyue, the new model adopts a front-mounted single-motor layout. The standard version features a 35kW motor, 87Nm of torque, and a GuoXuan High-Tech lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a CLTC range of 201km without fast charging. The Pursuit edition comes with a 40kW motor, 110Nm of torque, a CATL lithium iron phosphate battery, and supports fast charging, delivering a CLTC range of 301km.

Kayi X3 Pro EV International Version

The Kayi X3 Pro EV International Version is based on the Xuanjie (Chinese “炫界”) Pro EV and is positioned as a pure electric compact SUV. In terms of exterior design, the new car adopts a completely closed grille, aligning with its new energy vehicle identity. The sharp, fang-like headlights give the vehicle a more aggressive appearance.

The interior design is likely to be carried over from the Xuanjie Pro EV, including a fully digital instrument panel. However, a large central touchscreen may be omitted. Standard features are expected to include keyless entry, push-button start, voice recognition, smartphone integration, front side airbags, auto hold function, a 360-degree camera system, and lane departure warning.

The vehicle is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 120kW of maximum power and 280Nm of peak torque, similar to the Xuanjie Pro EV. Power is sourced from a 53.6kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a NEDC range of 401 kilometers. DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in about 30 minutes.
