Mercedes-Benz EQC released its China version after completing its first show in China. Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4MATIC pure electric SUV 1886 limited edition was unveiled at the 2019 Chengdu Motor Show. According to reports, the “1886” in the model name is the year when Mercedes-Benz invented the first car, the name or meaning EQC will create a new era of electric vehicle.
Mercedes-Benz EQC is the first product in Mercedes-Benz’s electric car brand EQ, it has a NEDC range of more than 450km. The EQC China version will be produced by Beijing Benz (BAIC-BENZ), and Benz EQC China version will be jointly produced with the same production line of Mercedes-Benz GLC. At present, there is no price information for the new car, and it is expected to be on Chinese market at the end of this year.
The Beijing Benz EQC currently has only one design, which is consistent with the overseas version of the AMG version, it looks sportier than the overseas version.
The length, width and height of the Beijing Benz EQC are the same as those of the overseas version, which are 4761/1884/1623mm and the wheelbase is 2873mm.
Beijing Benz EQC has a fast charging port in the position of the traditional model fueling port. The maximum charging power can reach 110kW, it takes 40mins charging from 10% to 80% in fast charging mode.
NEDC range of Beijing Mercedes-Benz EQC can do more than 279miles(450km), the letter “400” in the tail is not referring to the cruising level, but the vehicle’s power level. The vehicle is equipped with a motor on each of the front and rear axles to achieve full-time four-wheel drive. The total power of the Beijing Benz EQC power system has reached 300kW (402hp) and the maximum torque is 730Nm, 0-100km/h can do only 5.1s.
