The Beijing Off-Road brand has officially announced the name of its upcoming flagship SUV: the Taitan 700. This new model is expected to feature a body-on-frame construction, a tailgate-mounted spare tire, and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, signaling a significant push into advanced driver-assistance technologies.

Looking at the official images, the Taitan 700 adopts a rugged, boxy aesthetic consistent with the brand’s design language. It retains signature front-end and taillight styling while boasting high ground clearance, which should provide competitive approach and departure angles for off-road enthusiasts. To emphasize its positioning as Beijing Off-Road brand‘s first “luxury” off-road SUV, the vehicle features a sophisticated black and gold two-tone exterior paint scheme, adding a premium visual depth.

The inclusion of a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor suggests that the Taitan 700 will offer advanced intelligent driving capabilities. The vehicle is also equipped with stylish 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. Interestingly, the side profile bears a striking resemblance to the existing Beijing BJ60, particularly in the design of the front fascia, roof rails, rear silhouette, and the chrome trim accents on the front fenders.
