On March 21, the new generation BJ30 hybrid edition was officially released. It adopts the latest design language, the body size is further increased, and it is equipped with a 1.5T hybrid system. It is reported that the new car will be pre-sold during the Beijing Auto Show, and the price may start at 120,000 yuan.
The BJ30 is positioned as a “light off-road” model. In terms of design, it retains the “Beijing” brand family style. For example, the front face retains the five-hole style, but it is different from the previous grille. It has become a “five-hole star ring daytime running light belt” wrapped in a transparent shell, which has a high degree of recognition after being lit.
The length, width and height of the new car are 4730/1910/1757 (1790) mm, and the wheelbase is 2820 mm. Compared with the current BJ30, it is larger, especially the wheelbase even exceeds some medium-sized SUVs. The new car adopts a square box shape, with horizontal and vertical lines on the side, combined with black wheel eyebrows and black decorative strips on the side, to bring off-road style. Like the BJ40, the car has made some changes in the design of the C-pillar and D-pillar to add a fashionable atmosphere.
Although it is not a professional off-road vehicle, the BJ30 has an approach angle of 25°, a departure angle of 30°, and a longitudinal passing angle of 21°. The maximum ground clearance reaches 215mm, which also has good passability. The rear of the car is relatively thick, with a wide black trim panel below the rear windshield, and vertical taillights on both sides.
Coming to the car, the BJ30 is equipped with a 10.25-inch + 14.6-inch dual-screen combination, equipped with an 8155 chip, which can be said to be a drastic change compared to the previous generation model. The air outlet of the air conditioner below the central control adopts a bar-type design, further increased the visual width inside the car.
The rear seats of the new BJ30 are designed to be completely flat, which further increases the upper limit of the trunk space, and its depth can reach 1920mm. Multiple anchor points have also been added to the trunk, which is convenient for using nets and other fixing methods.
In terms of power, the BJ30 hybrid edition is equipped with a 1.5T hybrid system. The 1.5T engine with the model A156T2H has a maximum power of 116kW and a peak torque of 235N·m. The thermal efficiency is 41%. The system’s combined maximum power is 206kW and the peak torque is 450N·m. Its acceleration time from 0 to 100km/h is 7.54 seconds. The official said that the car’s comprehensive cruising range can reach 1000 kilometers.
The car will be equipped electric four-wheel drive, which can achieve a 0.1-second instantaneous response. In addition, the car will also be equipped with ATS(All-Terrain Control System) to achieve multiple driving modes.
