On May 21, JAC Motors and China National Machinery IMP. & EXP. Corporation (CMC) signed a contract for the joint acquisition of Kazakhstan’s ALLUR Group. After the completion of the acquisition, JAC Motors and CMC will own 51% of the ALLUR Group. It is reported that ALLUR Group is the largest automobile industry group in Kazakhstan.
The acquisition has become an important starting point for JAC Development Customs Union market and the internationalization strategy of the Central Asian market. Xiang Xingchu, general manager of JAC, said.
The ALLUR Group is a large automobile manufacturer in Kazakhstan. In 2018, the company expects to produce 10,000 vehicles of various types, and will reach 30,000 in 2019. The ALLUR Group includes the Sarge Alka car factory and the AllurAuto brand 4S shop and sales network. Currently, it assembles and produces various types of cars in JAC, Peugeot, Hyundai, Ravon, Chevrolet and Niva, as well as J MAN trucks. and Iveco, Ankai bus.
The data shows that as early as 2016, the Kazakhstan JAC Plant project has been launched. The acquisition is the result of JAC and CMC actively responding to the “One Belt and One Road” and “China-Kazakhstan Capacity Cooperation” initiatives. It is reported that JAC has established a marketing network in more than 130 countries and regions in South America, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Southwest Asia and Eastern Europe, and has 19 overseas factories. In 2018, JAC achieved an export of 74,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 13%.
