On April 22, Great Wall Motor officially unveiled its new mid-to-large SUV, the new generation Haval H9. As a completely new model, it adopts the latest family design language, a tough appearance, and continues to use a non-load-bearing body. The price is expected to be similar to that of the current model.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the new Haval H9 is classic and square, tough and retro. The front face has a square grille and retro round headlights. The grille adopts a parallel line design and is decorated with rivets to give it a unique visual effect. The bottom of the front of the car is equipped with a guard plate, which can protect the front of the car from bumps and scratches in complex off-road conditions.

On the side of the body, the body line runs through the entire body, with smooth and distinct lines, showing the power unique to tough off-road vehicles. The battlement-style large wheel arch design echoes the tough body shape, highlighting the characteristics of a tough off-road vehicle. At the same time, the straight roof line is expected to provide this car with a good headroom for passengers.

In terms of appearance, the new car is a standard tough off-road vehicle, with an external spare tire and a vertically arranged taillight group. Of course, the tailgate continues to adopt a side-opening design. In addition, gasoline models can be equipped with 17/18/19-inch wheels, while diesel models are only equipped with 18-inch wheels. In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width, and height of 5070/1960, 1976/1930mm, and a wheelbase of 2850mm.
Powertrain

The new Haval H9 retains the 2.0T+8AT power system, and adds a 2.4T+9AT diesel power combination to meet the needs of diesel lovers. The maximum power of the gasoline version is 165 kilowatts, and the maximum power of the diesel version is 137 kilowatts. In addition, the newly added towing qualification makes the off-road capability stronger and the use scenarios wider. The approach angle and departure angle have been greatly increased, further enhancing the off-road passing ability. In addition, the car will also provide front, middle and rear three differential locks, and is equipped with the second-generation all-terrain control system.
Background of the New Car
In November 2014, the Haval H9 announced its price and officially entered the mid-to-large SUV market. So far, the Haval H9 is still the largest model on sale by Haval and even Great Wall Motor. In the blink of an eye, the Haval H9 has gone through nearly ten years, and after many iterations and upgrades, it has come to today and has gained a firm foothold in the relatively niche off-road market.
This time, the new Haval H9 has been upgraded in terms of interior and exterior design, and it is expected to further break through in terms of intelligence and comfort. At the same time, after the birth of the TANK family, the halo of the Haval H9 seems to have dimmed. The launch of the new generation Haval H9 will allow the Haval H9 to make a comeback.
