We obtained Havall’s product plan for 2023. Haval‘s new energy will usher in a full-scale explosion, launching 6 new models and 4 facelifted models, including the 2nd-gen Haval Dargo (Big Dog) Hi4 version and Xiaolong pure electric version. By the end of 2023, the proportion of new energy products in Haval’s product series will reach 70%, covering the three major product lines of H series urban SUV, “Dog” series light off-road SUV and “Dragon” series new energy SUV.
The 2nd-gen Haval Dargo Hi4 version is expected to be launched in the third quarter of this year. It is positioned as a medium-sized SUV and adopts the Haval Hi4 plug-in hybrid system. The difference from the previously released DHT version is that in this system, “H” stands for hybrid, “I” stands for intelligence, and “4” stands for four-wheel drive system. Hi4 will launch two sets of powertrains, 1.5L+DHT+P4 and 1.5T+DHT+P4, with a system power of up to 340kW, which can be adapted to models of different sizes and grades, and A-D grade models have achieved full coverage.
The appearance design of the new car is consistent with the 2nd-gen Haval Dargo, and it follows the 3/4 scale family gene. 3/4 is a model category between urban SUVs and traditional off-road vehicles, which can take into account both urban driving and off-road conditions to a certain extent. The front grille of Haval’s 2nd-gen Dargo adopts chrome-plated small square design elements.
At the rear of the car, the new car adopts a taillight group composed of circular and horizontal stripes, and cooperates with the Haval badge in the center to further widen the visual width of the rear of the car. The Hi4 version will have a special logo: “PHEV” and “Hi4”, while the previous version has the suffix “PHEV” and “DHT”. In terms of power, judging from the declared information, the new car is equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 123kW.
The pure electric version of Haval Xiaolong will be launched before the end of this year. The car is positioned as a compact SUV and uses pure electric drive. The appearance of the body can refer to the plug-in hybrid version of Haval Xiaolong that is currently on the market. The hybrid model is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system with a displacement of 1.5L. The maximum power of the engine is 74kW, and the comprehensive fuel consumption is 5.3L/100km. The power battery of the new car uses a ternary lithium battery. There are two versions of pure electric battery life, 45km and 96km respectively.
