We learned from Haval brand officials that the first “dog-named” new energy SUV – 2nd-gen Dargo (Big Dog) will be officially launched on February 27. The new SUV will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of 1.5T fuel engine and electric motor.
In terms of appearance, the new car follows the 3/4 scale family gene, polygonal narrow-strip front grille, supplemented by dot-matrix chrome-plated elements similar to rounded rectangles inside, and the blue Haval badge on the top of the center, while improving recognition. At the same time, round headlights are used on both sides of the car, and the edges are outlined with polygonal lines. With the front bumper with clear lines below and the large-size narrow-striped trapezoidal air intake, it is full of wildness.
Viewed from the side of the body, the new car adopts the usual design techniques of off-road models, such as high body, muscular wheel eyebrows and rich waistline, with outstanding visual effects. At the same time, the side of the car adopts a roof design that tends to be straight, which can provide sufficient headroom for passengers in the car to a certain extent, and bring a more comfortable ride experience. At the rear of the car, the new car adopts a polygonal taillight group, which is combined with Haval badge in the center to further widen the lateral viewing angle of the car.
In terms of interior, the new car adopts a brand-new design style, the size of the center control screen is further enlarged, the center console is wrapped with leather fabric, and there is an off-road armrest in the co-pilot position. A row of physical buttons is reserved under the large-size floating central control screen to improve the driver’s operation during driving the vehicle. At the same time, the new car adopts a gear handle shape similar to that of the TANK 300, which looks more hardcore.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4705/1908/1780mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2810mm. In terms of power, the second-gen Haval Dargo adopts a 1.5T+2-speed DHT powertrain with a total power of 240kW and a total torque of 530N m. It is officially announced that the 2nd-gen Haval Dargo has a comprehensive fuel consumption of 1.85L/100km and a comprehensive cruising range of more than 1,000 kilometers in WLTC condition. In terms of outdoor power expansion, 2nd-gen Haval Dargo is equipped with a 220V reverse discharge function, with a discharge power of 3.3kW, and discharge can last up to 30+ hours when the vehicle is in full tank and battery is full charged.
