According to the official announcement of Great Wall Motor (GWM), Haval F7 was officially launched and listed in Russia on June 5th. The new car is powered by 1.5T/2.0T engine, with a total price of 1,449,000 rubles (~US$22,201). At the same time, the local Tula factory has been officially put into operation, it will have localized research and development capabilities. The first phase has an annual production capacity of 80,000 units and a total designed annual production capacity of 150,000 units. It plans to produce Haval F7, F7x and H9 models.
The Haval F7, which is listed in Russia, is the flagship model of Haval F series. It was launched in China in November 2018, a total of 6 models were launched, with price range of 109,000-149,000 yuan (~US15,763 – US$21,548). The car has already sold more than 10,000 units in consecutive months in China market, with sales of 10,140 units in April.
The Haval F7, which was put into production in Russia, was initially localized in the four major manufacturing processes of stamping, welding, painting and final assembly. In addition, parts such as ceilings, carpets and seats were also localized. The initial basic localization rate is about 30%, GWM will continue to promote the localization of other parts in the future. In addition to China and Russia, Haval F7 will also be sold simultaneously in European countries around Russia and will be exported to South America, the Middle East and Europe.
According to Haval’s official statement, in China, the F-series is designed for young consumers in first/second-tier cities. Compared with other series, the F-series emphasizes youthfulness, intelligence, and technology, and assumes the responsibility of rejuvenating the Haval brand. Design style of Haval F series is much closer to GWM WEY brand vehicles, slotting in above Havel H-series and below the WEY in GWM SUV lineup.
Wenfei, deputy general manager of GWM Sales Co., and No. 1 product manager of Haval F series, used the “Cube of F” to summarize the core concept of Haval F series: “One time is fun, it is the image label of Haval F series, the young attitude is the product empowerment; the second party is the fashion, which is the design label of the Haval F series, it is the design language of the trend of the times; the third party is the future, which is the technology label of the Haval F series, and belongs to the intelligent technology of the future car. ”
Haval has developed three series till now, Haval M, Haval H, Haval F. Among them, Haval M series is mainly cheap and cost-effective. It is generally based on the previous generation technology and platform of Haval H series, the configuration is richer and the price is much cheaper than the Haval H series, price is much lower than Haval H series, it can be said to be the classic model of Haval H series.
Haval H series is the foundation of Haval brand, Haval is relying on H series to make fortune, and now Haval H series is also its core. Now the Haval H series have a very complete lineup, from small SUVs to full-size SUVs, covering all areas that China’s SUVs can achieve. This is the pillar of Haval’s entire brand, a product line that represents the majority of ordinary people and represents the Haval brand image.
