Hongqi H5 has been listed in China market for almost one year. In the past three months, relying on the reputation of “China’s first luxury car brand” and the pride of the national auto industry. In March, the monthly sales of Hongqi H5 reached more than 3,300 units, this is definitely a very historic breakthrough of Hongqi brand. This time Hongqi brand debuted its latest Hongqi H5 sports version at 2019 Shanghai Auto Show.
Hongqi H5 Sports Version still adopts Hongqi’s family-style design language, the huge intake straight waterfall design on grille and decorated with chrome-plate, the engine cover retains a three-dimensional red-flag style badge. The front headlight group adopts the LED light group, the front fog light area has very exquisite design, it is the crowning touch of the front face.
The bilateral four aluminum exhaust pipes, shark fin tail, 20-inch large wheel, two-color chrome-plated double five-spoke wheels, and the interior is decorated with lemon and black two-tone, all these design highlights it is a sport version.
Anyway, body size of Hongqi H5 remain the same 4935/1840/1470mm, as well as the wheelbase 2870mm, curb weight: 1578kg, the engine is still the 1.8-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, the maximum power is 131 kW(175hp), the peak torque is 250 Nm, it is matched with 6-speed automatic transmission. FAW has its own intellectual property rights, but technical specs are almost similar to Honda, Ford or Changan’s 1.5T engine, the performance of 0-100km/h acceleration time might be worse than the 1.5T version of Honda Avancier (China Spec) which has similar curb weight. However, this engine is characterized by low engine noise and vibration.
The price of current Hongqi H5 starts at 146,800 end 190,800 yuan.
