Recently, we learned from the official sources that the first product of Dongfeng‘s M-Hero Technology, M-Hero 917 (Chinese: 猛士917 or Mengshi 917), has been officially launched in Switzerland, with a price of 148,990 Swiss francs. The Mengshi 917 has launched both the regular and founding versions in the Chinese market. Among them, the regular version has launched an extended range version and an electric version, with prices of 637,700 yuan (~US$83,112) and 697,700 yuan (~US$96,400) respectively; The inaugural model also offers an extended range version and an electric version, priced at 678,000 yuan(~US$93,680) and 739,000 (~US$102,100) yuan respectively.
At present, M-Hero 917 has successfully passed the EU ECE and Middle East GSO vehicle certification, and has also undergone long-term road testing in global target markets to ensure its applicability and stability in different regional environments.
Looking back at the appearance of the vehicle, M-Hero 917 has a sharp and angular design, creating a strong momentum. The front face adopts a trapezoidal grille design, with a wave shaped interior, and a large brand logo hanging in the center, creating a striking and exaggerated visual effect. The front headlights of the new car adopt an X-shaped cross daytime running light design, and the vertical LED daytime running lights extend all the way to both sides of the hood, which is very recognizable.
The new car has a sharp and angular side design, full of the visual sense of an armored vehicle. In terms of body dimensions, the length, width, and height are 4987/2080/1935mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2950mm. In terms of the rear of the car, the new car uses a cross shaped tail light design, which is full of power. At the same time, the new car’s trunk door adopts a side opening method and hangs a large-sized spare tire box, and the bottom bumper also echoes the front of the car.
In terms of interior, the new car adopts a very unique design in the center console area, with armor around the center console screen and a pattern design similar to armor at the air conditioning vents, which is quite tough. At the same time, the new car also incorporates wood grain design elements into the details of the center console, creating a certain luxurious atmosphere.
In terms of power, currently available models in China are divided into pure electric and extended range versions. The pure electric version is equipped with a four motor drive, with a total motor power of 1088 horsepower (800 kW) and a peak torque of 1400 Nm. Under CLTC conditions, the pure electric range can reach 505km. The extended range model is equipped with a 1.5T engine, which can reach a maximum power of 197 horsepower (145 kW). The new car is equipped with a three motor drive, with a total motor power of 816 horsepower (600 kW) and a peak torque of 1050 Nm. Under CLTC conditions, the pure electric range can reach 200km.
