Recently, Dongfeng Fengxing officially announced the launch of 2019 Fengxing SX6, 2019 Fengxing SX6 offers two engines, total of five models, the price range starts at 74,900 end at 94,900 yuan (~US$10,832) in China market. Fengxing SX6 is the first 7-seat SUV specially designed for the Chinese market. It has a 2+2+3 seat layout.
The 2019 Dongfeng Fengxing SX6 adopts the design of Jingyi(Joyear) X6 in appearance, the tough style incorporates the family design, the difference is only in the rear end, the taillights have a bar-style design and incorporate LED light sources. In addition, the 2019 Fengxing SX6 added 17-inch wheels
1.5T models. In terms of body size, Dongfeng Fengxing SX6 has length, width and height of 4660/1810/1790mm and wheelbase of 2750mm.
The interior of 2019 Fengxing SX6 keeps the same as the outgoing (2018) model, it offers 8-inch central control screen, Bluetooth, mobile phone interconnection, mirror heating, front and rear independent air conditioning and electric sunroof and other comfort and entertainment configurations. The safety configuration is equipped with ABS, brake assist and body stabilization system as standard. The mid-high profile models are also featured with reversing radar and reversing images.
In terms of power, 2019 Fengxing SX6 added a 1.5-Liter turbo engine with maximum power of 110kW(147hp) and maximum torque of 200Nm. In addition, it will continue to be powered by 1.6-liter engine with maximum power of 90 kW (120hp), matching 5-speed manual (1.6L version), 6-speed manual (1.5T) or CVT transmission (1.5T). However, the 1.6L CVT model was cancelled, and the car will be dominated by 1.5T+6MT and 1.5T+CVT.
Regarding to chassis, the rear suspension is upgraded from the current trailing arm type non-independent suspension to multi-link independent suspension.
