On October 8th, the new compact SUV of Chery Auto’s high-end brand, EXEED LX, was officially launched. The new car introduced a total of four models with price range of 125,900-150,900 yuan (~US$17,662 – US$21,169).
In terms of appearance, EXEED LX features a new design language and looks more sci-fi and avant-garde. The headlights of the new car use LED light source, and the internal daytime running lights are connected with the light strips at the bottom of the grille to form a bar-style design, which also echoes the wide chrome strips above. The new bumper is unique in shape, the horizontal air inlet design is matched with the polygonal opening on both sides, and the gray anti-scratch guard on the bottom looks full of futuristic.
In the rear part of the car, EXEED LX uses a set of bar-style LED taillights, the deep ground color enhances the sense of quality, with a strong three-dimensional tail shape, 19-inch wheels and two sides of the exhaust, it looks sportier. In terms of size, the new car has a width and height of 4533/1848/1699mm and wheelbase of 2670mm.
In the interior design, the dual 12.3-inch screen is the biggest highlight of EXEED LX. The layered center console is designed with contrast color, with touch air-conditioning panel, new electronic block, wood grain and stitch leather, overall texture and the sense of technology is guaranteed.
It is worth mentioning that EXEED LX also features the upgraded “i-Connect@Lion 3.0” system, while having existing functions such as AR navigation, face recognition and payment, and intelligent voice interaction, intelligent voice, while navigation also supports displaying on instrument display, voice control introduces sound source positioning (controlling the sound side window, air-conditioning temperature, etc.), custom wake-up words and other functions. In addition, entertainment interactions such as network video and car KTV can be realized in the car.
In terms of power, EXEED LX is powered by 1.6T direct-injection engine with maximum power of 194 hp (145 kW) and maximum torque of 290 Nm, the transmission system is matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox. For the suspension, the new car uses a front McPherson-style independent suspension, rear multi-link independent suspension.
