The latest filing from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has revealed the first images of the all-new Exeed EX6. Positioned as a mid-size SUV, the EX6 expands the brand’s lineup with a five-seat layout and dimensions measuring 4,830 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. These specs place it slightly below the Exeed EX7 in size, making it comparable to the Exeed Yaoguang C-DM.

The front fascia features a modern design language, highlighted by a full-width daytime running light bar and a split headlight setup. The honeycomb-style grille adds a sense of depth and athleticism to the vehicle’s appearance. Notably, the roof is equipped with a LiDAR sensor suggesting that the EX6 will support advanced driver-assistance features, including urban and highway navigation assistance.

The rear design adopts a minimalist aesthetic, characterized by a clean, full-width taillight assembly and a high-mounted brake light. The filing images confirm an “AWD” badge beneath the EX6 logo, indicating that the model will offer an all-wheel-drive configuration. It is expected that, similar to the Yaoguang C-DM, the EX6 will provide consumers with both two-wheel and all-wheel-drive options.

According to the filing, the EX6 will offer customization options such as a two-tone exterior paint scheme and privacy glass for the rear windows. A sunroof will come as standard equipment. The presence of “Yaoguang C-DM” badging in the filing options further underscores the technical relationship between the two models.

Under the hood, the EX6 is powered by a 1.5T turbocharged engine producing a maximum power of 115 kW. While specific electric motor output has not yet been disclosed, the powertrain is expected to mirror the setup found in the Exeed Yaoguang C-DM. For reference, the Yaoguang C-DM’s 1.5T hybrid system features a 115 kW engine paired with either a single front motor (150/165 kW) for the 2WD version or a dual-motor setup (165 kW front/175 kW rear) for the AWD variant.
