Today, SAIC Audi Q6 was officially unveiled, and reservations were opened simultaneously. The reservation price ranged from 500,000 to 650,000 yuan, it is worth noting this is a China-only model from this brand.

Officially, the design of SAIC Audi Q6 is inspired by the auspicious beast in Chinese mythology, the unicorn, which symbolizes strength, wealth and happiness. Since 2016, Audi designers have visited China several times to draw inspiration and integrate Chinese unique elements into Audi’s design DNA. The Q6 is one of the representative works. SAIC Audi Q6 will provide two styles, executive and sporty, with many different design details on the front face, side and rear.

On the side of the body, the waistline running through the entire body is slightly raised, and with the large-sized rims, it highlights a strong sense of muscle, and ends at the D-pillar with a blade shape. At the rear of the car, it is equipped with a small roof spoiler, and the taillights adopt a relatively wide bar-type taillight group design, which not only improves the visual width of the rear, but also further improves the recognition after lighting. It has a double-layer design and is equipped with a hidden exhaust layout.

Audi Q6 is positioned as a mid-to-large SUV. The new car has a length, width and height of 5099/2014/1784mm and a wheelbase of 2980mm. There are six-seat and seven-seat options. Its size exceeds the current Audi flagship SUV Q7, but also exceeds the BMW X5 long-wheelbase version.

In terms of interior, the new car adopts Audi’s latest virtual cockpit technology, which is equipped with triple screens, and it also brings out the sense of luxury and technology in the car. The new car will provide a 6/7-seat version, and the whole series will be equipped with leather seats. It is worth mentioning that the second-row seats of the 6-seat version will also have ventilation, heating, massage and other comfort configurations, providing the rear-seat feeling of the executive model.

In terms of power, the SAIC Audi Q6 will be powered by the fourth-generation EA888 2.0T engine. All engines are imported from Germany. The high-power version has a maximum power of 265 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400 Nm; while the low-power version has a maximum power of 231 horsepower. At the same time, it is also expected to introduce a higher displacement six-cylinder engine for selection.
