We learned from the official of WEICHAI group that 2019 Enranger 727 was officially listed in China market. The new car has launched two models, with price range of 39,900-46,900 yuan (~US$5,654 – US$6,647).
Enranger 727 is positioned in a family MPV model mainly focused on family consumers, positioned is lower than Enranger 737, the competitors are some models like Karry K50, Wuling Hongguang S, as we mentioned in our past posts, the low-end MPV models are actually upgraded from commercial vans, with the maturity of China’s automobile consumer market and the consumption upgrade, in the past 2018, the market has rapidly shrunk in various low-end MPV models, there is not too many commercial vans in current Chinese market, most of them has become to “MPV” model, the Enranger 727 is another one.
Enranger 727 might be the cheapest MPV model in Chinese market. Enranger is not a famous vehicle brand in China, actually not too many Chinese people know it. Enranger is a brand from WEICHAI Group, the WEICHAI Group’s business scope covers vehicle, construction machinery, powertrain, intelligent logistics, luxury yacht, finance and services, the most important part is the subsidiary of WEICHAI Power which mainly works on engine, transmission and axle.
2019 Enranger 727 is a model year update revision, the appearance and interior doesn’t change too much, it updated the configurations. The new car comes standard with halogen headlights, 3.5-inch monochrome screen driving computer, anti-glare interior mirrors, main driving airbags, three-point seat belts, four-door power windows, electric air conditioners
In terms of power, 2019 Enranger 727 is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with maximum power of 110 ps and peak torque of 143 Nm. In the transmission section, the new car is expected to match the 5-speed manual transmission.
