Volkswagen Golf EV version was officially unveiled on March 25th in China market. The Golf EV model is basically the same as the imported version. The front grille trim and the headlights are decorated with blue trim, it is powered by a 100kW (135PS) motor.
As a pure electric version of golf, the new car follows the design style of the fuel version, only some adjustments in the details, the word “e-GOLF” is added on the front grille, the front fender, tail, indicating its pure electric identity. The front grille of the new car adds a blue trim that runs through the headlights, highly recognizable. The C-shaped LED daytime running lights on both sides of the front bumper are connected to the chrome trim of the lower air inlet.
On the side, the difference between the new car and the fuel version is only the e-GOLF logo on the front fender and the unique low-resistance rim. In terms of body size, it measures 4259 (4267) / 1799 / 1479 mm, wheelbase is 2631 mm.
The rear part is still basically the same as the fuel version. The difference is that as a pure electric vehicle, the new car does not have an exhaust port. In addition, Gold EV will be available in different style of LED headlights according to the configuration.
For the interior, with reference to the imported version, Golf EV is equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel + 9.2-inch central control LCD screen, and features automatic parking and mobile phone interconnection. At the same time,
by adding the e-manager function in the Volkswagen Car-Net, users can remotely control the air conditioner to turn on and set the temperature inside the car. With the departure time planning function, the vehicle can realize to adjust the temperature and charging volume to the set value in advance.
In terms of power, Golf EV is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 100kW (136PS) and a peak torque of 290N·m. It is equipped with 37.2kWh CATL ternary lithium battery pack, density of this battery is 121Wh / kg. The official has not yet announced its cruising range, we noticed from other channel the range is around 167miles(270km). Golf EV will be produced by FAW Volkswagen.
